With quarterfinal victories in their respective MPSSAA regional tournaments Thursday, the North Harford, Fallston and Bel Air field hockey squads all earned the right to play another day.
In the all-Harford Class 3A North matchup between the second-seeded C. Milton Wright girls and seventh-seed North Harford, the North Harford Hawks walked away with a narrow 2-1 win.
Though originally slated to be played at CMW, the game was moved to North Harford's turf field because of foul weather.
Scoring for the Hawks were Maddie Dolinar and Hailey Ensor, while Maddie Price dished out North Harford's lone assist.
The Mustangs' one tally was scored by Katie Gallagher.
In goal for the Hawks, Abby Phillips posted five saves.
In the semifinal round, which will be played at 3:30 p.m. Monday, the Hawks will travel to play the winner of a game between third-seeded Franklin and sixth-seeded Parkville.
Bobcats bash Eagles
The 3A North's fourth seed Bel Air earned a spot in Monday's semifinal round by topping the fifth-seeded Aberdeen Eagles, 7-0, Thursday.
Bel Air, which hosted the game, led 4-0 at half-time.
Taylor Burrier led the way for the Bobcats, scoring twice in the victory, while Paige Kerr, Kelsey Jenkens and Becca Clifton all scored once and dished out one assist.
Sarah Teesdale and Jenny Kerr both had one goal for Bel Air, while fellow Bobcat Emily Gryglewski registered one assist.
Aberdeen goalkeeper Abby Harrison had 15 saves in the loss.
Bel Air will play either top-seeded Hereford or eighth-seeded Patapsco at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the semifinal round.
Fallston clubs Bo Manor
Class 1A North top seed Fallston won at home Thursday, beating the eighth-seeded Bo Manor Eagles, 4-0.
At half-time, the Cougars led 3-0.
Nicole MacDiarmid, Danielle MacDiarmid, Giselle Leoni and Dana Katzenberger all had one goal for the Cougars, while Jordan Wagner, Jenna Mosketti and Brooke Cannon each notched one assist in the win.
Fallston will host fifth-seeded North East at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the regional semifinal round.
Harford Tech eliminated
Harford Tech, the Class 1A North region's fourth seed, was eliminated from post-season play Thursday with a 2-0 loss to visiting fifth-seed North East.
The game was scoreless at the half.
Harford Tech goalkeeper Taylor Bethke had thee saves in the loss.
