C. Milton Wright overcame a flat start in Tuesday's Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference girls soccer championship to defeat Rising Sun, 4-0, and capture its third consecutive conference title.

With the victory, the Mustangs (10-2 overall), who outscored their Chesapeake Division opponents 22-0 en route to a 6-0 record, have captured six of the eight UCBAC championships.

After failing to capitalize on three good scoring chances, C.M. Wright scored its first goal with 14 minutes left in the first half. Angela Kuhn gathered a rebound on a failed clearing kick by Rising Sun, the Susquehanna Division champion, at the top of the box, found a clear shot and put the ball into the low left side.

Six minutes later, Megan Frailer took a pass just inside the penalty box, cut to the center of the field and scored, putting the Mustangs ahead 2-0.

C.M. Wright wasted little time adding to its lead in the second half, scoring twice in the opening two minutes. Alyssa Austen scored from close in at the 38:30 mark, and 20 seconds later, Liz Burgee took a midfield through pass and scored on a 12-yard shot.

No. 12 Perry Hall 3, Catonsville 0: Sophomore Sofia Perzan came off the bench and scored two goals and senior Samantha Testerman scored one as the Gators (12-3) defeated Catonsville (10-3) to win their second straight Baltimore County championship. Perzan scored a goal in each half, and Testerman tallied early in the second half. Catonsville's best chance to score came midway through the second half when Deb Milani headed in a corner kick by Rachel Woods, but the goal was disallowed because of a push away from the ball. Perry Hall is "the best team we've played so far," Catonsville coach James Fitzpatrick said.

No. 11 Catonsville 1, No. 15 Franklin 0: The Comets edged the Indians on a goal from junior striker Jose Moran in the 54th minute to win the Baltimore County championship. It was Moran's second excellent scoring chance of the half. He got stopped on a breakaway by Franklin goalie Dylan Schuman 43 seconds into play. Catonsville goalie Kevin Sheppard preserved the victory when he made a diving save on Michael Cronauer's penalty shot with 15 seconds remaining.
