IndyCar to hold memorial for Dan Wheldon

IndyCar will hold a public memorial service for driver Dan Wheldon, who died Sunday after an accident during a season-ending race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, on Sunday at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Wheldon, a two-time Indianapolis 500 winner, was 33. He is survived by his wife, Susie, and two young sons.

The Dan Wheldon Family Trust Fund has been established to benefit the family. Contributions to the fund can be made, starting Wednesday, at the following address:
