Less than a week before they open training camp, the Blast have added three players to its roster for the 2011-12 season.

Matt Watson (UMBC) returns for his fifth season with the Blast while fellow forward Warren Ukah is back for his second year in Baltimore. They're joined by midfielder-defender Stephen DeRoux.

"We are excited to announce the return of Watson and Ukah as well as the addition of DeRoux," Blast coach Danny Kelly said in a statement. "Matt's strength, versatility and pace have made him an integral part of the team, and Warren provides us with a quality target forward with toughness and skill who continues to get better. Stephen gives us another versatile player with a good work rate and skillful left foot that will cause opposing defenses problems."

Watson, a member of the Blast's 2008 and 2009 championship teams, Watson spent the past four seasons with the Carolina RailHawks. He was the 2004 and 2005 America East Midfielder of the Year at UMBC.

An eight-year veteran of professional outdoor soccer, Ukah scored five goals and eight assists last year in his first season with the Blast.

DeRoux, who played his high school soccer at High Point in Beltsville, went on to play 10 games for Major League Soccer's D.C. United before spending the 2009 and 2010 seasons with the Montreal Impact.

The Blast kicks off training camp Monday at Du Burns Arena, and opens the Major Indoor Soccer League season Nov. 12 against the Syracuse Silver Knights at 1st Mariner Arena.
