Grubbs, Evans still sidelined

CBs Smith and Carr remain out of practice

October 14, 2011|By Jeff Zrebiec

The Ravens hoped that they would be at full strength following the bye week, but that's clearly not going to be the case Sunday against the Houston Texans.

Wide receiver Lee Evans (ankle), guard Ben Grubbs (toe), cornerbacks Jimmy Smith (ankle) and Chris Carr (hamstring), and safety Tom Zbikowski (head) were all not visible during the portion of today's practice available to the media.

Grubbs eventually headed out to the Ravens' indoor practice facility, but he didn't have his helmet or shoulder pads. Grubbs, who has missed three consecutive games, was a limited participant at practice Wednesday and Thursday.

Smith and Carr haven't practiced all week so it's fair to assume that they're not going to play Sunday.

Zbikowski, who admitted Wednesday that he was still "a little cloudy" after suffering a concussion Oct.2 against the New York Jets, was a limited participant Wednesday, but didn't practice yesterday. Evans also couldn't go yesterday and practicing earlier in the week.
