Time: 1 p.m.

Where: Hughes Stadium

Radio: 88.9 FM

Series: Morgan 6-0

What's at stake: Morgan State hopes to rebound from a 24-3 loss at home to North Carolina A&T last weekend when it hosts Savannah State for homecoming Saturday. The Bears cruised past the Tigers 47-7 the last time the two met each other in 2007. Savannah State is coming off a 34-14 home loss to Howard last week.

Key matchup: In his first collegiate start, Morgan quarterback Seth Higgins completed 22 of 40 pass for 169 yards, but had a pair of interceptions last week against North Carolina A&T. The true freshman will look for better production against a struggling Savannah State defense. The Tigers are allowing 41 points per game and 234 passing yards per game. They've also given up 12 touchdown passes this season.

Players to watch: Morgan junior linebacker Tierney Yates had had back-to-back double-digit tackle outputs for the Bears and leads the team with 4.5 sacks ( tied for second in the MEAC). Morgan punter Nicholas Adams ranks No. 3 in the MEAC with a 39.7 yard average. Savannah State wide receiver Brian Lackey leads the team with 292 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns and will be a playmaker the Bears key on.
