Looney's Pub now open in College Park

It's the fourth location of the popular Maryland sports bar

After two years of planning and four months of construction, Looney's Pub College Park is officially open.

The fourth location of the popular Maryland sports-bar franchise opened last Friday at 5 p.m. on the first floor of the Varsity housing complex.

If you've been to any of the other Looney's bars (Canton, Bel-Air or Maple Lawn), you know what to expect: a sports bar with plenty of TVs and solid bar food. The College Park pub has close to 70 high-definition televisions. Live bands will perform Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday nights, while a DJ will spin every other evening. An official grand opening party takes place Oct. 11 from 5-7 p.m.

Looney's Pub College Park is located at 8150 Baltimore Ave., College Park, Md. 20740. Hours of operation: Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m.-2 a.m. and Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.-3 a.m. Parking is available on-site in the Varsity building or in Lot XX, located across from the foot bridge.
