New Hampton Inn hotel opens in Owings Mills

Hampton Hotels, the global brand of Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites hotels, opened its newest property on Sept. 22 at 10521 Red Run Blvd., in Owings Mills. According to a news release, the 105-room Hampton Inn Owings Mills is owned by Mangione Family Enterprises

The $11.3 million hotel will serve the Owings Mills business community, with weekend bookings bolstered by sports teams and alumni of Stevenson University and McDonogh School.

Baltimore County assisted in financing the hotel through a $10 million Recovery Zone Facility Bond. Although the county did not incur any financial liability, the county authorized the bond. Use of this federal bond effectively reduced the interest rate on the commercial loan.
