The bodies of a man and woman were found Saturday morning in Patapsco Valley State Park, police said.

The young adults appeared to have committed suicide, said Sgt. Art Windemuth, spokesman for the Maryland Natural Resources Police.

The bodies were found at about 10:20 a.m. by an CSX train crew, he said.

They were in the Avalon area of the park, near the Thomas Viaduct obelisk and train tracks, said Windemuth.

Investigators are still working on the case, he said, and the manner of death and identities of the two people will not be released until the investigation is complete and relatives are notified.
