FINKSBURG — The Carroll County Sheriff's Office reported Sept. 21 that twin brothers from Howard County had been arrested and charged with a pair of burglaries last month in the county.
Timothy Brian Feick and Matthew Dean Feick, 26, of Clarksville, were charged in the August burglaries of pharmacies in Finksburg and Woodbine.
On Aug. 4, sheriff's deputies responded a burglar alarm at the King's Pharmacy in the Woodbine Shopping Center just after 2 a.m. Investigators found the pharmacy's front window shattered and more than $13,000 in medications missing.
Then, on Aug. 15, also shortly after 2 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a burglar alarm at the Finksburg Pharmacy in the 2000 block of Suffolk Road. The pharmacy's window had also been shattered, and more than $15,000 in medications was taken.
Surveillance video from both businesses showed two masked men shatter the windows, enter the pharmacies and remove items. Detectives said Howard County Police had recovered medications from the Finksburg and King's pharmacies after arresting the Feick brothers for their involvement in a residential burglary. Detectives also recovered a hammer and pry bar.
The brothers had been incarcerated in Howard County since Aug. 27, and were transported to Carroll County Sept. 21 on charges of second-degree burglary, theft greater than $10,000, destruction of property and other charges.
They are scheduled to face a hearing in District Court Oct. 18, and were returned to the Howard County Detention Center to await trial for charges in that jurisdiction.
