Defensive end Cory Redding (toe) and nose tackle Terrence Cody (concussion) returned to practice Thursday, and both starters were limited. Redding and Cody, who had sat out Wednesday’s session, could be available for Sunday’s road game against the St. Louis Rams.
Cornerback Chris Carr (left hamstring) was limited for the second straight day.
Matt Birk (left knee) also practiced after not participating Wednesday, and the starting center was a full participant.
Four players – wide receivers Lee Evans (left ankle) and David Reed (left shoulder strain), left guard Ben Grubbs (toe) and rookie cornerback Jimmy Smith (high left ankle sprain) – did not practice for the second consecutive day.
