I want to thank the police and other emergency personnel who helped to "evacuate" us from the flooded Route 29 south on Sept. 7.
We spent about 35 minutes waiting for our chance to turn around and get onto 29 north, but there was no agitation or frustration as we all sat and waited for our turn. The situation was handled so smoothly that I wanted to cheer.
