Since at least August, some concertgoers have been traveling to Merriweather Post Pavilion by way of the party bus company Rock & Bus.

Today the concert venue formally announced a partnership. Rock & Bus, which also offers "luxury tailgate travel" to Madison Square Garden in New York and M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, will be the venue's official shuttle service.

Tickets for an upcoming round trip, say, to see Incubus, cost $40. The buses have pick-up stops in Maryland, Virginia and the District. Reservations can be made by visiting Merriweather's or the company's website.

Prices are comparable for the region. Boomerang Buses charged $40 for trips to the Preakness Stakes. For that event, Chariots for Hire's largest limo buses ranged in price from $150 an hour to $500.

Reservations are limited for Rock & Bus. The earliest available reservations for an upcoming show are for Incubus; buses for the National show are sold out.

For Virgin Mobile FreeFest, round trips are $50.
