The National Weather Service was calling for Wednesday to be sunny in the Baltimore area, with highs in the mid-80s and south winds 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Wednesday night was expected to be partly cloudy, with lows in the upper 60s and south winds of 10 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts up to 25 miles per hour. A small craft advisory is in effect Wednesday night for the Lower Tidal Potomac and the Chesapeake Bay.

Thursday was expected to be partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and then mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 80s, with south winds 5 to 10 miles per hour. There is a 70 percent chance of rain. Some afternoon storms may produce gusty winds and heavy rain.

Thursday night was expected to be mostly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Lows were expected to be in the upper 60s, with southwest winds of 5 to 10 miles per hour becoming westerly.
