Donald Biles named CFO of The ARC Baltimore

Donald W. Biles, of Bel Air, has been named chief financial officer of The Arc Baltimore.

A lifelong Maryland resident, Biles has spent his entire career in finance and accounting, primarily for organizations in the healthcare and community service fields. He previously served as budget director for a hospital and a school system, controller and CFO for a large ambulatory healthcare system and two mental health providers, and, most recently, chief operating officer for a prosthetic and orthotic company and a credit union.

At The Arc Baltimore, Biles is overseeing finance, accounting, billing, payroll and investments management. In the past, he also has handled human resources, marketing, business development, facilities management, purchasing, information systems and grant and HUD administration.

"Don Biles is the consummate professional, possessing a depth and breadth of knowledge and experience in his field," The Arc Baltimore's executive director, Stephen H. Morgan, said in a press release. "Don's financial skill is proving to be invaluable in helping The Arc to continue to meet its mission, ensuring that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have maximum opportunities to actively participate in all aspects of community life."

Biles, a certified public accountant, graduated with honors from the University of Baltimore. He and his family reside in Bel Air.
