Residents of 12 condos in Perry Hall have been put out of their homes following a three-alarm fire Thursday night, a Baltimore County fire dispatcher said.

Officials were alerted to the fire, at 12 Juliet Lane, shortly after 7:30 p.m., he said. Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters recorded seeing flames coming through the roof of the building.

The cause of the fire has not been determined but there is a possibility it was due to a lighting strike, he said.

Assistance from Red Cross was available at the condo complex for those who have been displaced by the fire, he said.

The fire was under control by about 8:30.
