The National Weather Service was calling for Friday to be sunny in the Baltimore area, with a high near 88 degrees and north winds of 3 to 5 miles per hour.

Friday night was expected to be mostly clear, with a low around 70 and light east winds.

Saturday was expected to be partly sunny, with a high of 90 and south winds of 10 to 13 miles per hour. There is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.

Saturday night was expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 75 and south winds between 9 and 14 miles per hour. There is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Rain amounts between one quarter of an inch and half an inch are possible.
