Kurt Mahlon Chenowith, 25, died Tuesday morning when his motorcycle hit the side of a car turning out of Bob Bell Chevrolet in Bel Air, police said.

Chenowith, of Fork, was driving his 2009 Kawasaki Ninja south on Route 1 south of Old Joppa Road when he struck the driver's side of a 1990 Oldsmobile that was turning left out of the dealership parking lot into the northbound lane, said the Maryland State Police.

The crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. The driver of the Oldsmobile and the front seat passenger were unhurt in the collision, police said.

The crash, which is still being investigated, closed the road for about two hours, police said.
