Video: Watch Ray Rice channel his inner Jessie Spano

August 02, 2011|By Matt Vensel

This one goes out to all the "Saved by the Bell" fans out there. Ravens running back Ray Rice was so giddy on Monday about the addition of fullback Vonta Leach that he started singing "I'm So Excited" by the Pointer Sisters. This, of course, brings to mind one of the most memorable moments in "Saved by the Bell" history.

How could we ever forget the episode where Jessie Spano, played by Elizabeth Berkley of “Showgirls” fame, popped caffeine pills and had a nervous breakdown, singing “I’m So Excited” to a stunned Zach Morris?

If you have forgotten, you can see the scene here. I’m sure “S.B.T.B.” fans won’t mind watching it again.

Sports question: Unless he stole Jessie’s caffeine pills, should Rice be this excited about his new fullback?
