When ESPN's cameras broadcast NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and NFLPA head honcho DeMaurice Smith -- who were flanked by a group of players and owners that included Ravens cornerback Domonique Foxworth -- as they held a press conference that officially declared the end of the lockout, I grabbed my voice recorder and held it up to the television in case Foxworth said something of note for our serious Ravens reporters.
Instead, Foxworth gave reporters a silly sound bite that only made sense for this blog. But hey, I’ll take it.
Stepping up to the podium after Colts center Jeff Saturday, who thanked the wives of NFLPA executive board members for their patience and praised Patriots owner Robert Kraft for his dedication to the negotiations while his wife was losing her battle with cancer, Foxworth got some chuckles with the following statement.
