Arbutus volunteer fire department responds to accidents on Baltimore Beltway

Among the 65 calls the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received for medical, rescue and fire service July 17-24 were the following:

Hillside Avenue, 4400 block, 4:22 p.m. July 23. Crews from the Arbutus and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville and Halethorpe career stations responded to the report of a dwelling fire in Arbutus and extinguished a kitchen fire.

Interstate-695 between Route 40 and Edmondson Avenue, 8:01 p.m. July 18. Crews from the Arbutus and Woodlawn volunteer stations and Catonsville and Woodlawn career stations responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries in Westview. Five people with non-life-threatening injuries taken to local hospitals.

Interstate-695 between exits 12 and 13, 3:45 p.m. July 18. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville career station responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injury in Catonsville. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.

Washington Boulevard at Interstate 695, 10:13 a.m. July 17. Crews responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injury in Arbutus. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.

Washington Boulevard, 4500 block, 12:33 a.m. July 17. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a stabbing victim. One seriously injured person taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
