Analyze your Netflix usage with Feedflix: Consumer Website of the Week

This one is an oldie but a goodie.

In the past, we've featured FeedFlixs as a Consumer Website of the Week, but we're reprising it now for everyone infuriated over the new Netflix pricing scheme for streaming and at-home DVDs that the company recently announced.

To review: new customers can choose between streaming-only plans for $7.99 or only mail-order DVDs, which range from $7.99 for one at time to $15.99 for three. For existing customers, these prices kick in Sept. 1.

But many Netflix customers have been frustrated by a limited selection via streaming, so this price hike is upsetting.

Enter your Netflix user name and password and FeedFlixs will analyze your Netflix data, showing you how many movies or television shows you watch, both via streaming or through DVDs mailed to you at home.

Depending on what you find, you can decide whether it's worth it to you to continue receiving both DVDs at home and streaming or to drop one or the other. Blockbuster is angling for new customers for its mail and in-store exchange service.

You could also rent through services such as RedBox. Other streaming or 'instant' options include iTunes or Amazon Instant Video. This allows you to pay per purchase rather than commit to a monthly membership --- not a great calculation when you're busy or out of town.
