Is anyone surprised that wine is sold at fancy restaurants at a markup? I'd say no.
But some of the finest restaurants in the Netherlands are upset that an online retailer has published the prices they charge for the same bottles sold at a considerable discount at their site, according to this article from springwise.com.
The lists of prices are derived from publicly available information --- probably menus published on their websites.
One could argue that these restauranteurs had to pay a sommelier to curate these lists, which has value --- but you could also argue that the online store credits the restaurants for this additional information.
