High school football officials and timers are needed in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Anyone who is 18 prior to Sept. 1, 2011 is eligible. No officiating experience is required. The Brunswick Columbia Lnaes, in cooperation with the Howard County Autism Society, is offering a four week long Family and Friends League for those with special needs. The league starts Sept. 18 at 3 p.m. (an organizational meeting will be held at 2:30). There are two divisions – 6-11 years old and 12 and over — and three people on a team. The 2012 Savage 10-U travel team will hold open tryouts for players for the Fall 2011/Spring 2012 season Aug. 7 at 2 p.m., Aug. 10 (6 p.m.), Aug. 14 (2 p.m.) and Aug. 17 (6 p.m.).
