Carroll County Bureau of Aging to host session on four-year plan

WESTMINSTER — The Carroll County Bureau of Aging and Disabilities will hold a community meeting on Aug. 2, at 12:30 p.m., to discuss the agency's four-year plan for fiscal years 2012-15.

The meeting will be held at the Westminster Senior and Community Center, 125 Stoner Ave., Westminster.

To comply with the federal Older Americans Act, the Maryland Department of Aging requires each area agency on aging to develop a plan for its service area.

The Area Plan identifies priority needs, goals and objectives for programs and services aimed at individuals age 60 and older, and adults with disabilities.

The community meeting will provide an opportunity for citizens to hear about the plan and provide input. For more details, call 410-386-3850.
