Air Force Airman Bradley Boyd graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, in San Antonio.

He is the son of Emily Boyd, of Columbia, and nephew of Sandra Thornhill, of Austin, Texas.

Boyd graduated in 2008 from Century High School.

Army Pvt. Matthew Gilmartin graduated from the infantryman one station unit training at Fort Benning, in Columbus, Ga.

He is the son of Barbara Gilmartin, of Columbia.

Gilmartin graduated in 2002 from Calvert Hall College High School.
