Phelps wins 100 fly, takes 2nd in 100 free at Santa Clara

Michael Phelps won the 100-meter butterfly final at the Santa Clara Grand Prix in Santa Clara, Calif., on Friday night and finished second in the 100-meter freestyle final. Phelps, of Fells Point, recorded a 52.41-second time in the butterfly final, finishing ahead of Australian Nicholas D'Arcy, who posted a 53.34. In the freestyle final, Phelps posted a 49.61, finishing behind Taehwan Park of South Korea, who won with a 48.92.
