Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore celebrates its 1971 founding this afternoon with a Burger Badge Bash. Members of Baltimore's police and fire department will compete in a Guns & Hoses Legendary Burger Eating Contest, and badge holding civil servants (police, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians) are being offered a specially 71 cent burgers "in recognition of their dedication and service to the community."

The eating contest benefits the Baltimore Child Abuse Center, and the event will also feature 98 Rock’s Matt Davis as emcee, and a live performance by local band Wasabi.Police.

Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore opened in July 2005.
