The Al Cesky Scholarship Fund Inc. celebrated the 26th anniversary of the Al Cesky Scholarship Awards Banquet May 18 at the Richlin Ballroom. At the banquet, the fund awarded $54,000 in scholarships to 24 outstanding Harford County student-athletes. Those scholarship winners embody the purpose of the Al Cesky Scholarship Fund Inc., namely to preserve and keep visible the values reflected in the life and work of Al Cesky, with special reference to his contributions to spiritual, emotional and intellectual development of youth and his role in fostering community life.
The 26th anniversary celebration would not have been possible without the generous support of our table sponsors: Branch Banking and Trust, Gessner, Snee, Mahoney and Lutche P.A., Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Goles, Harford Bank, Charles and Ann Ramsay, the Westervelt family, Charles D. Wilson and Village at Carsins Run.
The Al Cesky Scholarship Fund Inc. also acknowledges the grateful contributions of our major banquet donors: APG Federal Credit Union, the Cesky family, Costello Law Group, J. Edwards Assoc. LLC, Raymond and Carol Fox, Harford Mutual Insurance Co., Hartman Financial Inc., Sharon and Charles Lawson and the Westervelt family. This year we also had a special sponsor: Rick and Katherine Cesky Garcia.
The fund would also like to extend its appreciation to Qadry Ismail, our featured speaker. Also, we appreciate the assistance of Jack Dawson, our master of ceremonies, and Teri Kranefeld, manager of communications for the Harford County Public Schools, who introduced the student-athletes.
With the support of these outstanding individuals and businesses, the purpose and mission of the Al Cesky Scholarship Fund Inc. perseveres.
