Facebook is good for many things: Keeping in touch with old friends, following celebrities and laughing at dumb things posted by ignorant people.
Now, a new Tumbler blog focuses exclusively on this last category of Facebook friend: Those fooled by the satirical news site, The Onion.
On "Literally Unbelievable" (literalllyunbelievable.tumblr.com), posts from gullible people on Facebook are forever memorialized.
Some choice entries:
• In response to The Onion story, "Puppy Bowl Marred by Tragic Spinal Injury," someone responded: "I was really hoping this was a joke. But I guess not."
• Under the story, "Planned Parenthood Opens $8 Billion Abortionplex," someone wrote: "Repent America."
• Reacting to the story, "Government Official Who Makes Perfectly Valid, Well-Reasoned Point Against Israel Forced to Resign," someone posted: "Disgusting!"
The site was only created last week and we all know that blogging is tough, arduous work. Let's hope they keep it up.
