Laurel college graduates and dean's list awardees

Lexie Ermi, a freshman English major at Grove City (Pa.) College, was named to the dean's list with distinction for the spring semester. She is a 2010 graduate of Washington Christian Academy and the daughter of Lisa McGovern, of Laurel.

The following Laurel students were named to the dean's list for the spring semester at York (Pa.) College: Derek Shaw, a senior marketing major; Jordan Megaughey, a junior accounting major; and Michaela Guild, a senior nursing major.

Brian Holley, of Laurel, a junior at the University of Maryland, was inducted into the Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. He also won the Gamma Award, which is based on the highest grade point average and strength of academic courses. He is an economics major and a 2008 Reservoir High School graduate.

Daniel Holley, of Laurel, graduated from the George Washington School of Business with a master's degree in accountancy. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland Smith School of Business, and a 2006 graduate of Reservoir High School. He has accepted a position with an accounting firm in Bethesda.

Jared Hester, of Laurel, earned honor roll status for the winter term at Washington and Lee University, in Lexington, Va. He is a member of the class of 2013.

The following Laurel residents graduated from Hampton (Va.) University: Kayla Williams, Breona Woods, Lawrence Bell, Shardel Thomas, Devon Brown, Tanya Johnson, Jasmine Washington, LaQuandra Lott and Theresia Monikang.
