Letter: Golf tourney part of drive to fund July 4 celebration

May 24, 2011

The 65th annual Catonsville parade and fireworks are 50 days away. The Celebrations Committee is working hard to keep this proud community tradition alive.

In 2009, we came up $15,000 short and we barely broke even in 2010.

With expenses increasing every year, our reserve is dwindling.

In 2011, we have made a commitment to concentrate on fundraising and insure a bright future. We are asking the community to pitch in and help us out.

There are many ways to help. Go to our website http://www.catonsvillecelebrations.org and buy a shirt, make a donation, enter the chair contest, or volunteer.

We encourage golfers to use our on-line sign-up to register for the July 4 annual golf tournament on June 6 at the beautiful Rolling Road Golf Club. Food, beverages and prizes are included.

This is a great opportunity to network with Catonsville community and business leaders and have a great time.

Give me a call at 410-409-2743 or email colleenbeboy@gmail.com to sponsor a hole or donate a prize.

As you make your holiday plans, please frequent our website for the most up-to-date information, including a list of frequently asked questions.
