The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.


York Road, 7100 block, between 7 p.m. May 15 and 6 a.m. May 16. Schwinn mountain bike stolen from detached garage at residence.

Dulaney Valley Road, 800 block, between 6:11 and 6:17 p.m. May 16. Man seen on security video attempting to steal 2004 Honda Odyssey from parking garage. Man identified from video and later arrested.

Southerly Road, 800 block, at 9:14 p.m. May 16. Man seen attempting to steal unlocked 2004 Toyota Camry. Used shovel from car's trunk to destroy steering column.

Lachlan Road, 7000 block, between 11:15 a.m. and noon May 17. Apartment entered through unlocked third-floor balcony door. Xbox 360, two laptops, two watches, Nikon digital camera and iPod Nano stolen.

Dulaney Valley Road, 800 block, at noon May 17. Man exiting Towson Town Center mall into parking garage grabbed from behind by second man. They struggled briefly and second man told first to hand over contents of his pockets. Man handed over wallet and cell phone.

Loch Raven Boulevard, 8200 block, between 10:10 p.m. May 18 and 3 p.m. May 19. Screen removed from rear window of residence. Polo shirts, pants and sneakers stolen from residence.

Worchester Road, 500 block, between 3 p.m. May 12 and 7 a.m. May 19. White and black Fuji Nevada bicycle stole from garage. Side door of garage was left unlocked.

Castle Drive, 500 block, at 10:35 p.m. May 18. Man in 20s approached woman near her vehicle and showed her a handgun, demanding "give me what you got." Woman handed over purse containing cash.

Fairmount Avenue, 900 block, between 3:40 and 3:45 p.m. May 18. Two men entered gated rear yard, stole black and purple mountain bike. Police found two men shortly after and returned the bike to owners.

Pleasant Plains Road, 8200 block, between 11 a.m. May 15 and 8 p.m. May 21. Boy's bike, orange, and girl's bike, blue, stolen from unlocked shed.

West Pennsylvania Avenue, 100 block, at 2:50 p.m. May 21. Man in 20s grabbed man in 40s around chest from behind and held a switchblade to his neck. Man in 20s then grabbed bus pass and disability card from other man's hands and fled.

Overbrook Road, 600 block, between 7 p.m. May 19 and 9 a.m. May 21. Two gas cans, electric screwdriver, Stihl edger and trimmer stolen from unlocked detached garage.
