Preakness Infield: Act now! Beer is still available

Last year, some say they were understaffed

At 5: 15 p.m., there was still beer available at April Schaf’s stand in the infield.

Last year at this time, she had run out. And though tips were better then, she’s not sure if having beer left at the height of the afternoon is due to better coordination or fewer people. “Last year, I think they were understaffed,” the Pasadena resident said, “so they wanted to compensate.”

She said that people seemed happy with the short lines. She had plenty of Bud and Bud Light left over, but had run out Stella Artois.
