The junior midfielder led the No. 1 Eagles (19-0) to an unprecedented third straight Interscholastic Athletic Assocation of Maryland A Conference champion on Saturday, scoring five goals and adding an assist in an 18-17 win over Roland Park. Cummings, who earned first-team All-Metro honors as a sophomore, finished this season with 55 goals, 14 assists, 76 ground balls and also excelled on draws. Going into Saturday's title game, Cummings had five goals and two assists in McDonogh's 22-3 win over St. Mary's in the quarterfinal game on May 10 before enjoying a four-goal, one-assist effort in a 12-7 semifinal win over Notre Dame Prep on Thursday. In three seasons, she has 134 goals, 35 assists and 258 ground balls. Also a standout forward for McDonogh's No. 1-ranked girls soccer team, Cummings had made an oral commitment to play lacrosse at Maryland.
