'Rent is Too Damn High' candidate finds new issue: Gas prices

May 16, 2011|By Luke Broadwater

You might remember Jimmy McMillan from the time he stole the show during the 2010 New York gubernatorial debate with his catch phrase "The Rent is Too Damn High" as the candidate from, you guessed it, "The Rent is Too Damn High" party.

He had everyone laughing and applauding, even the candidates who were trying their best to be serious.

Well, McMillan is back, this time with a new but familiar refrain. McMillan is now the presidential candidate for the "Gasoline is Too Damn High Movement." Already, he's posting entertaining videos to YouTube.

In them, he argues that President Barack Obama doesn't understand the pain at the pump because he rides around in a limo all day. He also says students can't go to college, because they can't afford the gas to get there. He also says he's Irish.

Please, I hope there's some way to get this guy in the presidential debates. He's more entertaining than Trump!
