A 28-year-old man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the leg Friday night in the city's Oldtown neighborhood, police said.

Officers responded to the scene in the 400 block of N. East Street around 11 p.m. Friday to find the victim on the ground in front of a building, Baltimore Police spokesman Det. Kevin Brown said.

The man was taken to an area hospital and was in stable condition, according to Brown. There are no suspects or motive at this time, he said.
