Man kills himself after shooting woman in Randallstown, police say

May 01, 2011|By Liz Bowie, The Baltimore Sun

A man shot a woman and then killed himself near Randallstown Sunday evening in a domestic dispute, according to Baltimore County police.

The woman was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center after police forced their way into the residence in the 4200 block of Dressage Court and quickly took her out of the house, according to Lt. Robert McCullough.

Police did not release the names of the pair or explain their relationship.

Officers had responded to the house about 4:25 p.m. The man barricaded himself in the house and police set up a barrier around the residence. About 6 p.m. police went into the home and found him dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, McCullough said.

Police did not list the woman's condition and are continuing to investigate.
