A 38-year-old Forest Hill man died Tuesday night in a motorcycle crash, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

David Allen Butler of the 2600 block of Bailey Road was riding a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound in the 1400 block of W. Jarrettsville Road when he ran off the side at a curve, went up an embankment and struck a utility pole, according to sheriff's office. Investigators believe Butler had been speeding, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Butler was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, but the sheriff's office said he was not in possession of a valid driver's license.
