Boys Athlete of the Week // Connor Morgan, McDonogh, lacrosse

The senior attackman produced six goals and two assists last week. Five of the goals and one assist came Thursday, when the Eagles upset then-No. 1 and undefeated Calvert Hall, 11-7, and jumped into the No. 1 spot in The Baltimore Sun Poll. In 13 games this season, Morgan has 39 goals and 11 assists, an average of 3.8 points per game. He has been on the varsity two years, and this is his first year as a starter. Morgan carries a 3.4 GPA and next year will attend Division III Hamilton in New York state, where he will continue to play lacrosse. Morgan is described as an excellent shooter who possesses poise and crafty shot-making skills.
