Police investigate fatal shooting of 19-year-old in East Baltimore

City police were investigating the fatal shooting Wednesday night of a 19-year-old man in East Baltimore.

Officers were called about 10:15 p.m. to the 600 block of Bartlett Ave., where they found Julian Turner suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, including to the head. Turner was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital and pronounced dead at 11 p.m., police said.

Investigators had no suspects and had yet to determine a motive.

The shooting pushed the number of people killed this year in Baltimore to 56, compared to 52 at this time in 2010, police said.
