The junior midfielder led Friends to three wins last week, totaling 22 goals and seven assists as the team improved to to 9-1 in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland's B Conference. A three-year varsity player, Cooper opened the week with a seven-goal, four-assist effort in a 17-16 win over Glenelg Country on April 11. The next day, she scored nine goals and added an assist in a 19-12 win over Institute of Notre Dame and then closed out the week with six goals and two assists in a 13-12 win over Seton Keough on Thursday. Always a threat with the ball in her stick, Cooper stays a play ahead of the opponent with a knack for reading the field to know when to shoot or pass. She has 59 goals and 27 assists this season. Cooper, who also plays soccer and basketball at Friends, maintains a 3.67 grade-point average.

Others considered: Shannon Aikens, Mercy, lacrosse; Leah Allen, Glenelg, softball; Kimberly Federowicz, Chesapeake-AA, softball; Jell Remenapp, Century, lacrosse.
