We need a leader, not a campaign speech

April 15, 2011

I find it amazing how you can defend and distort this issue of President Obama's budget ("The debate is joined," April 15). He has already presented a budget for next year with $1.5 trillion budget deficit ignoring his own commission on deficit reduction. Now that it is politically popular he decides to criticize what Paul Ryan has put together. This is from a party that did not do their constitutional duty and pass a budget for 2010. We find here the same man who voted present 125 times as a Senator and wants to always be on both sides. We needed a leader, not another campaign speech.
