A Baltimore County police officer suffered minor injuries after another vehicle attempted to make a U-turn and crashed into the officer's cruiser early Saturday morning, police said.

The officer was headed north in the 15700 block of Hanover Pike around 1:30 a.m. when a vehicle pulled out from the road shoulder and collided with the cruiser, police said.

The officer and three people in the second vehicle were taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center for minor injuries. A fourth person in the other vehicle was not taken to a local hospital.

Police said they believe the driver of the other vehicle was impaired.

The officer was using the cruiser's lights and sirens, responding to calls for a fight, police said.
