Police have identified a motorcyclist killed Monday evening while traveling south on Interstate 395 in post-Orioles game traffic.

Patrick Anthony Slack-Valentino, a 23-year-old man from Fort Belvoir, a military installation in Northern Virginia, was traveling on his Harley-Davidson about 6:25 p.m. when he lost control of the motorcycle and fell off, said Sgt. Jonathan Green, a spokesman for the Maryland Transportation Authority police.

Slack-Valentino, who was wearing a helmet, Green said, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved, but police asked anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call the transportation authority police collision reconstruction unit at 443-324-8894.

Police believe Slack-Valentino had just left the Orioles' home opener at the time of the accident, Green said.
