A 40-year-old Dundalk woman died Monday in a single-car accident on the outer loop of the Baltimore Beltway near Frederick Road in Baltimore County, Maryland State Police said.

Mellany Jean Dudney died after her car hit a concrete barrier on the left side of the road. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at 6:55 p.m. Police said witnesses saw Dudney driving her 2007 Nissan Sentra recklessly, making frequent lane changes just before the accident.

After hitting the barrier, her car went across all the lanes of traffic, off the right side of the roadway and into the grass median. Police said they don't believe alcohol or another substance contributed to the crash. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
