April 01, 2011|By Baltimore Sun reporter

Braxton Dupree's time at Towson has come to an end.

The junior forward and Calvert Hall graduate is no longer a member of the Tigers' basketball team, having withdrawn from the university.

Dupree averaged 12.2 points and a team-leading 7.8 rebounds in his only season for the Tigers. He started 28 games for Towson, which was winless in the Colonial Athletic Association.

A Baltimore Sun first-team All-Metro selection in 2006, Dupree averaged 21 points and 13 rebounds as a senior at Calvert Hall.

The 6-foot-8 player signed with Maryland and spent two uneventful seasons in College Park before transferring to Towson. He sat out the 2009-10 season as a transfer.
