Man found shot in West Baltimore dies of his injuries, police say

An unidentified man has died of his injuries after a shooting Thursday evening in West Baltimore, according to police.

An officer responded at 6:10 p.m. to the intersection of Winchester Street and North Carey Street, in the Sandtown-Winchester community, for a report of a shooting, police said.

The victim was found suffering from several gunshot wounds to the head, police said. He was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:50 p.m., according to police.
