Blood donations

The Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Region of the American Red Cross is requesting blood donations. Eligible donors can call 800-GIVE-LIFE to schedule an appointment. Platelet donors should call 800-272-2123.

Blood drive

Laurel Regional Hospital and Laurel Lions Club, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, will hold a blood drive from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, in the J.R. Jones Conference Room at the hospital, 7300 Van Dusen Road, Laurel. Information: 301-497-7914.

Look good … feel better: Volunteer cosmetologists will teach how to cope with skin changes and hair loss, using cosmetics and skin care products donated by the cosmetics industry. The program will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 11, at Laurel Regional Hospital, 7300 Van Dusen Road, Laurel, and is cosponsored by the American Cancer Society. Information and registration: 301-497-7914. Each session is limited to 10 participants who are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment. Physician referrals are accepted.
