Art & About in Philadelphia Hotel Package

What's the deal? Art lovers can tour all of the Philadelphia Museum of Art's properties with this two-night package that offers two combination tickets to five attractions, including:

•Philadelphia Museum of Art, home to a large collection of Renaissance, American and impressionist art.

•Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building: Across the street from the art museum, this building is reserved for special exhibitions in areas such as textiles, furniture and fine crafts.

•Rodin Museum: The largest public collection of the master's works outside of Paris includes "The Thinker" and "The Gates of Hell. This contemplative space also includes formal gardens.

•Cedar Grove; One of Fairmount Park's most historic homes, the design of the interior mixes fine baroque, rococo and Federal styles.

•Mount Pleasant: Also in Fairmount Park, this historic home features the craftsmanship of some of the leading Philadelphia artisans, such as carver Martin Jugiez.

What are the savings? More than a dozen hotels are offering the package, with rates starting at $149.50 per night. Hotel parking is included. The tickets are advertised as a $62 value. We checked weekend rates in late May at the Courtyard Marriott Philadelphia Downtown and found rates of $179 per night for A standard room and $174.50 per night for the package deal.

What's the catch? The package is available through the end of the year.
